Finance and accounting sectors 'predicting rising revenues'

The majority of organisations in the finance and accounting sectors are predicting increased revenues in the coming months, according to a new industry report.

A poll conducted by Poolia also found that there is expected to be an increase in the number of new staff being taken on by companies in this sector in the coming months, including sales recruitment candidates.

The survey showed that 57 per cent of firms predict revenue growth in 2011, while 40 per cent expect an increase in projects in the new year and over 30 per cent anticipate growth in headcount.

According to London Business School professor Lynda Gratton, speaking at the launch of phase two of the Future of Work plan recently, there will be many changes in the type of skills that will be needed by recruiters in the coming months.

She predicted that sales recruitment organisations and other recruiters will increasingly be looking for candidates with a "deep" skill set in the months and years ahead.
